Plaza de Viriato 5 49001 Zamora (Castilla y León|Spain)
In 1453, the Count of Alba and Aliste established his residency in downtown Zamora. The palace was partially distructed during an uprising and was reconstructed a half a century later by the decendants, at which time it was embellished according to renaissance style. In the late 18th century, it was converted into an asylum for minors called Nuestra Señora del Tránsito, which was portrayed by the son of Ramón J. Sender in the novel, Death in Zamora. There is much to be discovered yet… shall we continue?
