Bodegas Arzuaga Navarro has now broadened their horizons by taking advantage of their winery and aging instalations to set up a hotel on their 1,400 hectors of vineyards. Located to the side of the bodega, the hotel’s interiors display a Castilian severity, between the crass popular remedy and the elegance of their wines and especially the Grand Reserve of 95. The common areas reveal noble materials; while the very best part about the bedrooms are the hydromassage showers, which are much appreciated to ease the solitude of the surrounding plateau.

Restaurant Asador Santo Mauro de Peñafiel, offering classic dishes carefully prepared with good taste. Located on Altarazana, 2. Tel. 983 87 30 14. Menu: between 21 and 30 €.
It’s worth visiting Peñafiel to see the castle built from the 10th-15th century with is wine museum, and the medieval plaza of Coso. Also pleasant, taking strolls along the streets of Aranda del Duero.
Visits to the bodega and wine tastings.
The highly praised innovation by Bodegas Arzuaga Navarro doesn’t exactly have to do with the wine industry; their latest creation is a charming little hotel adjoining the winery.
The hotel is perfectly integrated with the bodega, with the workspaces and vineyard at its feet. The ambiance is both rustic and luxurious. The structure features noble materials: inside the wood is emphasized, which offers all of its warmth and solidity; and outside it is the stonework that connects the hotel with the bodega.
On the estate La Planta, sited in Quintanilla de Onésimo, Bodegas Arzuaga Navarro enjoys an ideal location for the harvesting of grapevines. Literally on the banks of the Duero River, the vines receive the sunlight and humidity necessary for the perfect ripening of their grapes. Privileged earth, climate and orientation are the coordinates at the Arzuaga Navarro vineyard.
Geometric vineyards nourish from the surrounding nature, in which oak, pine and sabina trees enliven the scenery where deer and wild boars roam freely. The estate reflects the family’s firm expression of love for nature. It is true luxury right in the heart of the Ribera del Duero, with domination of origin.
