Description

In the fertile lands of Villamarxant, located in the providence of Valencia, the architect Ángel García Puertas has designed a hotel complex with a great deal of character. This country estate receives their guests with the bright color of bougainvilleas and the presence of oranges. So inherent are these fruits to the personality of this establishment, there is even a citrus research center on site. Mª Ángeles Fuertes first restored the old original house, which barrows from Mexican style estates with a deck encircling the swimming pool. The central patio is enlivened with a water fountain and little canals leading the way to the bedrooms distributed on the upper two floors. In the bedrooms there is an eclectic decoration and an almost exaggerated expression of impossible colors. A neutral rest from the jumble of painted and metallic papers along the walls can perhaps only be found in room 105. Meanwhile, the suits are discovered in independent buildings on the property. A recently constructed building next to the main house encloses the restaurant under the direction of Joachim Koerper, a business center and the luxury Orange-Spa that is the revolution of the critics at the service of health and beauty. The fruits harvested all around the hotel complex do not just offer colors and aromas, they are prime material used the treatments developed here. The baths, facials, hydration treatments, circulatory treatments squeeze appetizing cocktails over the skin. Natural tools to relax and activate the body include an orange mask, orange peel, citrus blossoms and essential oils of Ylang Ylang, geranium and rosemary. Then there are the citrus wraps with macadamia, lemongrass, lime, neroli, grape or milk and with vitamins extracted from melons and papaya, wheat and other essential oils. Delicious and original. Finally, a variety of massages evoke the magic of the Oriental shiatsu, the South American stone therapy and Indian Ayurveda.
