Built between the 16th and the 17th century, this house belonged to the clergy of Albarracín and has always been connected with the cathedral. Located in the noble neighborhood of San Juan, next to the family home of the Caveros that own the castle and just below the citadel. More recently it was the residencey of the Governor of Zaragoza, decedents of whose sold it to the present-day owner, a local restorer that also manages a humble and dignified restaurant in town. The spacious and correctly equipped bedrooms have been decorated lovingly. Each unique, they all exhibit expose wooden ceiling beams, and one of them has a canopy bead. The living room is an enjoyable place for reading, having a cup of coffee or savoring the careful cuisine. There is an ample garden at the foot of the old Arab castle with views overlooking the cathedral. The house is full of old details, like compasses, feathers, chests; one room has a desk with a 1859 Latin-Spanish dictionary, old box, bronze ink well, Jewish menorah and three old school pens.
