Calle Esteban de Ponte 32 38450 Garachico /Tenerife (Canary Islands|Spain)
A 17th century stately house designed by the architect Luis Adelantado, is situated in the town’s historic center. The restoration has respected all the traditional architectural characteristics of the area. However, it is the design, more then anything else, which they have gotten just right. A well attained combination of wood and stainless steel, geometric forms and warm natural tones, in this hotel modern decoration and interior design are integrated into a classic structure. Dominating the central patio stands a steel sculpture surrounded by different furnishings derived from renowned schools of European design, such as Bauhaus, Le Corbusier and Van de Rohe. Common spaces exhibit an interesting art collection with works by artists from Canaries including, Susi Gómez, Gonzalo González, Ildefonso Aguilar, Cristina Gálvez and Emilia Martín Fierro. The roof of the tower houses a ceramic and glass installation created by Carmen Calvo. Originally discovered Dominique Garayon of France and the architect José Luis Adelantado, today this hotel has become the destination of many travelers who seek an alternative to the island’s conventionally touristy hotels.
