Description

As indicated by its Catalan label, this stately home is enclosed within walls extending almost one kilometer. An impeccably white house with a flat roof presides over the vast orange groves, on an expanse almost touching the banks of a small solitary beach. We have to go back to the second half of the 19th century to recall the bright and brilliant times of what was once the summer residence of Alfonso XII. Little was left of the extraordinary paintings and pianos when architect Ángel Llasera tackled the renovation of a house that was very recently impoverished. The effort was worth undertaking, with simple interiors providing a welcoming and elegant atmosphere. The bedrooms are spacious and echo this proposal of pure, contemporary lines, lit by their whiteness and light filling the rooms through the terraces. Minimalism that brings together beauty and functionality.
