Description
A new hotel complex was built in the spring of 2003 within the shock wave of La Nueva Milla de Oro in Marbella, on the terse lawn of the Flamingos Golf Club, between cypress trees and loquat trees, pomegranate trees and jacarandas. This is an ambitious project based on the king of sports in Costa del Sol – up to four courses and a school – and in the sunny presence of an Italian-inspired villa. Just as if it were in the middle of Tuscany, the palatial house transmits the harmony of its square plan and the delicacy of its rosy profile with its white trimmings. Before catching sight of the interiors, the villa belies the importance of its swimming pool, surrounded by 11 fountains and the path towards a second building, inspired in an old stable and intended for business meetings, a good number of rooms and the very roman thermal spa. But it is the main construction that accumulates the most luxury in such classicism. the large glass cupola crowning the central patio, the marble stairway, the columns and chimney in the reception, the busts and oil paintings, the solemnity of its halls, the contained elegance in its bedrooms and loft penthouses, the value, in short, of such a load of antiques and historicism. The hand-painted walls and the 17th century tapestries from Brussels in the restaurant La Veranda compete with the 12 marble columns, the coats of arms, the vases, the paintings imitating Genovese and Florence palace frescoes and the recreation of the frescoes of the Castello Stavesco in Milán in the La Loggia restaurant. As recommended as its terraces with statues, open to the Mediterranean horizon.
