Lugar Partido de los Frontones s/n 29400 Ronda /Málaga (Andalusia|Spain)
In the villages in the countryside surrounding Ronda, perspective plays with the sun of the sky. The Clavero y Fernández de Córdova family has proved in this country estate, which has stunning proportions and virtues amid 60 hectors of olive groves, just how much the restoration of stately patrimony has to offer and the good that is gained from rural tourism that aims to improve the hospitality. Just 8 kilometers from Ronda, the history of this farmhouse, with its four patios, olive oil mill and granaries on four corners, dates back to the dawn of the 18th century. The restoration process was carried out with the help of, Pedro Enrique Santos Buendía, local architect known for his work on the Posada Real in its day. The outcome brought out the play of light and shadows in the rooms, and reflects a good use of the geometric lines of the roofs and walls, among other charming characteristics. Three young landscape designers helped Miguel Fisac, an architect now retired, to conceive the 10.000 square meters of gardens on the property. They got it all just right. An Arab perfume seeps from the olive and fruit groves, watered as tradition dictates. Enemy of the summer heat, the property encloses three swimming pools, and the shade of the interior spaces conditions the fresh and elegant sitting rooms and dinning room where the fine recipes by David Fernández are served. Far from having austere and tight spaces of so many other country homes, here the rooms show off spaciousness and design and technology. Bedrooms are named after references such as, Manzanillo, Vidueño or Acebuche, and are display artworks on the walls by artists including Canales and Amadeo Gabino. An agile contrast between bedposts and closets of different periods, and extra perks like wi-fi access, the guardian of our time.

In Ronda itself, without having going further than the adjacent hillside. Walls and minarets, Arab baths or churches of various styles. The bridge like the symbol of the city and its environs, over the abrupt gorge that dies in the Guadalevín. And its bullfighting ring, the oldest in Spain, cradle of the school of Ronda.
Eight kilometers from Ronda in the surrounding countryside with the same name, stands the country estate, El Molino del Arco, now renovated into an inn.
The original building, constructed in the early 18th century, was comprised of four patios, and oil mill, and many other edifices used on the farm, such as granaries, stables, slaughterhouse, etc.
Now, these installations have been converted into a magnificent inn with 16 rooms that combine commodities of our time with the charm of an old country house in a marvelous setting.
Furnished with exquisite taste and perfectly attended by a very professional staff, it is an ideal place to spend a few days of vacation and rest in the heart of Andalusia, just 10 minutes from the gorgeous old city of Ronda.
