Description
Opened in July of 2000, its architecture imitates the architectural style from 500 years ago. The three-story house exhibits terracotta-colored stucco facades and an interior decoration that reveals a rustic style is of medieval Arab inspiration, featuring hand made wooden furnishings, ceramic tiled floors and exposed wooden beams in most of the ceilings. All the bedrooms are distinct, and each one is dedicated to a medieval figure: The Spice Trader’s Caravan, The Sultan Broadbill’s Chamber, The Monastery Sanctuary, The Horse Thief’s Hideout, The Alchemist’s Laboratory, Christopher Columbus’s Berth and The Catholic Kings´ Royal Quarters. These display tapestries that allude the characters, crowns and sculpted portraits, trap doors hiding personal mementos, imitation jewels and coins, and a glass dome and telescope to see the stars… The bathrooms, in the same spirit, have windows that peer into the bedrooms and luxury equipment. The installations are complete with a restaurant and small pool.
