Calle Batán 3 27864 Chavin /Lugo (Galicia|Spain)
In the Landro Valley heading towards Viveiro, the beauty of profound and lush Galicia revives past and present on a 2,500 square-meter estate where the gentle murmur of water in the mill canal can be heard. Hórreo, forests, streams, gardens, fields and a country home made of ruff and irregular stonewalls. This structure was built for agricultural purposes, the first of a group of barns dating from 1800, and with the front door leading directly to the mill, its own roof and the access to the top floor, speak of the originality achieved in the process of its rehabilitation of the building into a hotel. Stars of David, Latin crosses and Roman numerals of the surprises carved in the wall, revealed once the plaster had been removed. Three years of work created a severe but detailed rustic style, which is conclusive but cheerful: a lounge with lareira, chris-cross beams, handcrafted carpentry, a clever library with stone table… And just four bedrooms named after the stages of the moon, wrapped in stone and painted different colors: Lúa Chea has orange walls and comforters, pristine armchairs and headboards with class: Cuarto Menguante is more impacting with purple walls and a bed caressed by gauze that hangs down over it; Lúa Nova features a bedroom in red and bathroom in green; and Cuarto Crecente is clad in pear green. Of course there are homemade breakfasts, but also Wi-Fi throughout the house. A little of everything. .
