Description

The knights of the Santiago religious order gave the city of León the most beautiful renaissance façade that they could imagine. Behind extends a building that was used as a lodge for pilgrims, college, hospital, prison and barracks until the times of the Disentitlement. The cloister leads to the church choir, run by a community of Jesuits. Many locals are wed here and celebrate their reception in the inn’s lounges. Among the their most recommendable rooms: number 363 has with a canopy bed, noble sitting room and a marvelous wood door that is carved on one side and painted on the other; 365 with its hyper-modern bath; 368 is a suite that rooms four with views of the cloister, a sculpture of Saint Anthony and a bold yellow canopy bed; and the Nuptial Suite, which has a round bathtub that offers a panoramic views of the city. The past and the present seem to come together in the recent redecoration; the his refashion has given a bold color and illumination to the common areas, modernization while upholding its character, a more accentuated look with fresh upholstery and rugs, and the inclusion of a library in what used to be a storage room.
