Description

This establishment is proof that it’s possible sleep in the historic center of Santiago de Compostela without having to stay in a museum. The great dedication and effort that José Antonio and Ana put into the already mythic Costa Vella, they now apply to this hotel that caters to pilgrims. And businessmen too, why not? Sited on the edge of the pedestrian, the classic elements of this old edifice discloses the principal idea of contemporary design: oak beams and stone walls coexist with flat-screen televisions, wooden furnishings with sharp lines and compositions created with lights. The inspiration comes from the original and ancestral oriental philosophy of “wabi-sabi”, the essence of which resides in combining the fresh and simple (wabi), with the beauty of the dregs of time (sabi).

THE WORST:

The most unfortunate aspect is the lack of greater space designated to noble and shared areas. The breakfast could be improved and we are waiting for their new restaurant.

ROOMS WE RECOMMEND:

The two Special Rooms that are lofts with exposed wood beams.
