Calle Oblatas s/n 15703 Santiago de Compostela /La Coruña (Galicia|Spain)
Lorenzo Marqués and José Luis Pereiro have converted this 19th century convent, which housed the religious order of the Oblatas for over a hundred years, into a suggestive construction. The original building is communicated with a contemporary annex by way of a glassed in corridor that reveals the hallways on each level and air-conditioning tubes in the brutalist architectural style. The interior spaces repeat the tradition-vanguard twosome, combining classic materials such as stone, granite and wood, with other more innovating materials such as aluminum and glass. Right in the in the hub of Santiago, to the end of Rúa das Hortas, the hotel is surrounded by an impeccable garden with very old trees. Common areas, cozy and luminous, boast noble wood, forged iron, quality fabrics and walls painted with an ocher and russet palate. Isabela Claramunt carried out the decor of minimalist inspiration in the bedrooms, which are equipped with the most updated technologies as is customary in AC hotels.
