Description

Successive improvements from the 16th to the 18th century constitute the historic interest of an estate at the edge of the Atlantic. In the island of Terceira in the Azores, the influence of the sea pervades everything. An exemplary exercise in landscaping integration opens a small breach of stately architecture in the undergrowth. From the main house to the light ocher and cream colored chapel there are terraced gardens and a spectacular wooden solarium trampoline where the swimming pool erases its outer edge in order to fuse with the lines of the sea and the sky.
