Description

This country home, or payesa, built in 1652 and maintained with tender care, is a place for hardened travelers who are not easily deceived. Hotel Es Cucons is sited to the northeast part of the island in the Pla de Santa Agnès de Corona, just a short 10 minutes from the beach of Cala Salada. It is one of the most personalized refuges in the countryside of Ibiza. The evocative setting for a rural vacation far from the Peninsula is comprised of Es Falcó, the Ses Balandres sea cliffs and views of the Ses Margalides Islands. Guests will appreciate the fully equipped bedchambers. They all have a distinct capricious structure and ornamentation, but share an inlet rural style: ceramic tile floors; whitewashed and colorful walls; and little, well-integrated, imaginative and modern details. The establishment has a sitting room, a library with fireplace, a restaurant and two pools, one of which is for children. The complex is well integrated into the landscape. And since they don’t miss a step, they have just inaugurated a health and beauty area that guarantees a good massage and a restoring bath in the jacuzzi without ever loosing sight of the valley.

ROOMS WE RECOMMEND:

Any of the suits, outfitted with a fireplace, Hi-Fi equipment and a selection of CDs. The Superior Suite, measuring 70 square meters, is appointed with a bedroom, sitting and dinning room, American kitchen, fireplace, two bathrooms, satellite television, DVD and Play-Station.

EATING:

In Sa Capella (on highway De Santa Inés, km 1. Tel. 971 34 00 57). Inlet products are used to prepare modernized Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant is located in an old rural chapel with an impressive décor. Menu: over 30 euros per person.

SURROUNDINGS:

Es Falcó. Sea cliffs of Ses Balandres. Beaches and coves: Cala Salada, Es Pouet. S´Arenal, Caló des Moro, Cala Gració, Cala Da Gracioneta, Punta de sa Galera. Visits: Sa Punta de´s Molí, cave of Santa Agnès, chaple of Sant Antoni, cave of des Vi, Pla de Corona and its well, towers in d´en Lluc, Pla de Sant Mateu, Broll de Buscatell, well des Escarabats, well of Forada, handcrafts workshop of Sant Rafael.

ACTIVITIES:

Departing from the hotel, hiking and bike trails: Ruta d’es Falcó, coves of Ses Balandres with views of the islands Ses Margalides, Camí d’es Plà de Corona... On the premise there are places to take a stroll. The hotel organizes sailing, scuba diving, mounting biking, horseback riding and golf outings. They will also arrange health and beauty treatments.
