Camino Viejo de Sant Mateu s/n 07814 Santa Gertrudis /Ibiza (Balearic Islands|Spain)
An old country home with whitewashed facades, stone and mortar walls, dating to 1880. Farmlands with gardens and orchards, carob, pine, almond and olive trees, all biologically cultivated, extend all around this house sited in the town of Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera. It belongs to the matrimony between Margaret Martin von Korff and Luis Trigueros, a sea navigator. The bedrooms are fully equipped and carefully decorated, featuring native sabina wood ceiling beams, white mosquito nets draped over the beds and old furniture. The interiors enclose guests an atmosphere of ocher, cream and blue tones, that boast antique pieces and hand painted tiles. All bedrooms peer out to the pool. Outside, four hectors of gardens lay along various levels, refreshed by the presence of the pool. A library completes the installations.
