Plaza del Castillo s/n 19250 Sigüenza /Guadalajara (Castilla-La Mancha|Spain)
One can not speak of Sigüenza without mentioning its inn. Before becoming the point of departure for the chain of historic inns, this imposing fortress served as residency to illustrious figures in the history books about the Peninsula. Since the time of its construction around 1123, this Arab fortress has witnessed the Catholic Kings, Cardinal Cisneros and Juana la Loca pass over its draw bridge. Exceptional guests have stayed in what was once the Bishopñs residency, long after the Visigoths and Muslims. The past remains in the aroma of this inn, while at times the conception of the bedrooms seems dated, and as decadant as it is pretentious. The rest of the historic recreation or the paradox is ideal for thoes enthusiastic about knights, which are comemorated in the arms and shields on display.
