Calle Mar Mediterráneo 1 35100 Maspalomas /Gran Canaria (Canary Islands|Spain)
Its Alhambra fountain stands 45 meters tall and greets guests as though it were a prelude to other fountains surrounded by dense tropical lushness and featuring a centenary dragon tree that symbolizes the exoticism of the island and its marketing beyond compare. This hotel is a full-fledged and superlative construction, offering an orchestra of organic-shaped gardens and pools: The Lake with its own beach and cascade; The River that forms a circular body of water sheltered by a cave; and eight imposing towers and seven astounding thematic patios. The hotel complex sis sited at the edge of Maspalomas Beach, which is lined with sand dunes and hugged by the sun. Inside, oriental decoration with earthenware jugs, plants and marbles contrast with the 18th-century crystal lamps, while the bedrooms reveal clean lines and exclusive furniture. Oh! And their Gran Spa Coralium, a cutting-edge spa in Europe for its facilities and dimensions, is inspired in the volcanic landscape of the island. The clientele, which is primarily central European, fills the establishment when the continental winter comes on. Hotel management, therefore, concerns itself little with what is identified as Spanish, regrettably so for us.
