Carretera de la Platja del Racó 2 17255 Begur /Girona (Catalonia|Spain)
One of the most attractive accommodations along the Costa Brava stands near the town of Begur, in a lush spot with natural springs and brooks, surrounded by Mediterranean woodlands with oak and pine trees. This 17th-century convent once housed the religious order, Padres Mínimos, and it still conserves the original structure built of local materials: stucco facade, ceramic tile floors, walls combining stone and plaster. Interior spaces are serene and luminous, embellished with colonial furnishings, oriental pieces, vanguard paintings and textiles made with natural fibers. The bedrooms are compelling because of the high quality of decorative materials used. Two of the bedrooms stand out for their views of the oaks and pines, and the Mediterranean Sea off in the distance. Discover which ones they are in Fernando Gallardo’s review.
