Largo Dr. Miguel Bombarda 8 7220-369 Portel /Évora (Alentejo|Portugal)
Awake to the sounds of nature, taste comfort foods of the regional cuisine and enjoy life’s simple pleasures. The quaint village of Portel encloses a little rural inn, housed in a historic farmhouse from 1830. On the other side of its bright white façade outlined with yellow trim, hide gardens with a swimming pool and a harvest, all refreshing ingredients offering shade. In the interior spaces, the suits and the fine cuisine stand out. It’s not for nothing that they have a cooking school.

Church in Aldea de Vera Cruz de Marmelar: here the founders of Portel are buried and there is relic of Saint Lenho so carefully kept that from here derived the famous Portuguese saying, “locked with seven keys”.
