Estrada de Canaviais 7002-502 Évora (Alentejo|Portugal)
National monument built in 1458 by Vasco Perdigao, the Bishop of Évora at the time, as a way of reinforcing the marine legend venerating the apparition of the Virgin on a hawthorn bush around the year 1400. Chapel, church, convent, center of pilgrimages, and centuries later, a hostelry establishment. The annexed building was created with the same materials as the original structure, ceramic floor tile floors and the “whitewashed walls of don Fadrique”. Eight hectors of pristine gardens, spa, a good size pool, fitness and recreation installations; a bodega transformed into a gourmet restaurant and an old water deposit made into a place for wine and food tastings; bedrooms with palatial aspirations, outfitted with technological equipment. An impressive bathroom in the Royal Suite has a plasma screen television, robust Philippe Starck bath, and views of the city.
