Rafael Carrillo, the owner of this establishment, has shown how to begin with nothing and create a niche amid the hotel and gastronomic services of Cordoba. Along narrow winding streets in the old Jewish quarter, he opened set up shop around 1970 and went right to work. First, their popular barbecued meats lead to additions that included the typical Andalusian patio and an endless number of dinning rooms. Over time, tenacity and the good reputation motivated the aperture of this inn. Just a few steps from the feasting facilities, there are nine bedrooms that reflect the unconditional love this family has for its natal city. Nine illustrious figures from Cordoba give the rooms their name, all of who upheld the fine arts; from the Miguel del Moral to the Julio Romero de Torres bedrooms, they all bestow an elegance that varies from simple to sumptuous style, from where the image of San Rafael is made out from Mosque. One by one, bedchambers disclose an inventory of headboards, with bedspreads in play with striking curtains. While not too large, they are appointed with a plasma screen television and a computer with Internet access, to maintain always in contact with work, leisure or history in the caliph capital. Even though for a dose of the past, it is enough to peer out of any window in the Hospedería El Churrasco.
