Barrio Linderrío 13 39160 Galizano /Cantabria (Cantabria|Spain)
Once again the big city and it’s misbehaviors generate a lot of attractive hotel hot spots. This time we’re talking about a couple of Madridians, which isn’t the first time and definitely not the last that fed up with urban demons, retreated to the shores of the Cantabria. Specifically to a hundred year old estate, that is representative, with it’s square courtyard and three levels, of the Santader architecture common in the bay area. But, in contrast, they avoided ever since their remodel in 2000, the typical interior design of this class of establishments. While the exterior, the stables and the meadows insist on a country style the interior has a style of it’s own. The traditional furniture and girders have been updated with a certain minimalist style or at least a modern one. Polished concrete floors, lamps, designer acrylic chairs, white lacquered furniture and lots of lighting summarize the décor of this XVII century manor. Appealing because of it’s audacity and of course because of the charm bestowed to it by the owners.
