Paço de S. Cipriano.Tabuadelo 4835-461 Guimarães /Braga (Minho|Portugal)
The oldest documents found to date attest that this house has existed since July 22, 1415. João Santiago de Sotomaior and his ancestors that lived here before have bestowed airs of noble medieval linage between these walls, which are sensed in every corner of the house. In order to help maintain the 80 hectors of the country estate, the Sotomaior family with the collaboration of Solares de Portugal, embarked on an adventure of turning this place into a inn where no detail would be looked over: wooden ceilings, period pieces. In the bedchambers, forged iron bedposts and even stately canopy beds in the most advantaged rooms. The decoration boarders on austerity, with ocher colors that enhance the dark solemnity of the woodwork. But for luminosity, there are inviting gardens where guests may stroll alongside old stonewalls and fountains. Like feudal dream.
