Description
An oasis with the look and similarity of an arabesque country estate, common in the traditional architecture of the Baixo Alentejo. Exemplifying the so-called vegetation architecture, this hotel is snuggled in among the fruit orchards and olive groves, refreshed by the water, always water, of the beautiful pool and cascade. Inside, the architect Teresa Ferreira presents an understanding of traditions, of the Islam and the Alentejo, created with stucco walls, cool domes lined with bricks and roof frames filled with thatch. The living room is presided by a traditional lareira, while the delightfuly minimalist bedrooms receive the warm light of the surrounding plains.
