Plaza Corazón de María 7 06300 Zafra /Badajoz (Extremadura|Spain)
Palace constructed by the architect Juan de Herrera in 1437 over the ruins of an old Arab citadel conquered by from the Muslims by Fernando III el Santo. The shield of arms corresponds to the Suárez de Figueroa, Dukes of Feria and Zafra, who where important figures in Spain and related to the Medinaceli family, presides the entrance is symbol of their ancestry. The image is printed in all of the encyclopedias, exemplifying the Herreriano style. The value of the monument is expressed in the precise geometry of the patio configured by two galleries with three arches, above which the bedchambers are distributed.
