Description

The end of the highway marks the beginning of a ride through sun soaked valleys in the summer o snowy slopes in the winter. Then, on top of the ancient Plessons glacier, near the Grandvalira sky station, rests a robust stone structure with wooden eaves and a wooden peaked roof, that combine to form an elegant and sophisticated building. It achieves a balance between traditional and new materials, patterns and textures that result in a well-accomplished warm environment. The look after every detail, from the wood lined lobby with plush carpeting, stylish chairs in the reading room, and white fuzzy ones in the jazz room, to the spectacular suites, with hidromassage bathtubs integrated in to the room, Bang & Olufsen high tech gadgets, and amazing patterns stamped everywhere. And of course no attention was spared in ‘La Marmita’ restaurant, with its innovative cuisine fused with the most traditional of meals from the region.
