Description

Having paid its dues as a commercial office space, an apartment building and even a convent, this building located in the city center of Alicante was recovered by Elvira Blanco and has now been converted into a modern and translucent hotel. Luminosity and simplicity in elegant and airy spaces. The terrace deserves special attention, with its gym-sauna and heated swimming pool that offers sweeping views of the city. The bedrooms have an enticing style that incorporates creamy colors and quality furnishings, with a tinge of sobriety due to their slightly compact dimensions. The minimalist theme links the hotel to the chain Hospes. And the hotel’s name pays tribute to José Gabriel Amérigo, the city mayor who prompted the construction of railroads to Madrid. The interior bedrooms are quieter.

SURROUNDINGS:

Cathedral of St. Nicolas and the City Hall, two of the most representative monuments in the city. Also, Esplanade of Spain and Port of Alicante. Posiguet Beach, at the foot of the St. Barbara Castle.

ACTIVITIES:

Golf lovers have two 18-hole courses just ten minutes away, Golf Alicante and Bonalba, along the Mutxamel highway.
